@capeverde211 “they” are correct. The enzyme life of plant based foods degrades quickly and does not store. I make my smoothies and do my juicing in the morning, store it in the fridge and enjoy it throughout the day.
they say when you make your smoothies,you must drink it right away. not to refrigerate.
@Behemothpwns That’s great then. I grew up with pure farm food, but I’ve made the choice to eliminate a lot of things. It’s all about a desired result. If you’re okay with not being super human healthy, then that’s just fine. You can live at a healthy weight with a healthy body without being extreme. Yeah, it’s really hard to eat this way. Most people do juice fasting for short periods of time as a detox.
@MrDIYMaster I eat nothing but local and organic food. I know what I’m putting into my body. I just hate these rather restrictive and extremist diets- I sure as hell could never stick to it.
@Behemothpwns You can have a balanced and healthy lifestyle eating meat, but I don’t think you understand that you DON’T NEED MEAT. Do you know that you can get lots of superior protein from vegetables? If you want the highest level of health you will get that from eating only vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds. It’s not just a diet, it’s a lifestyle. Plus it includes eliminating preservatives and chemicals that hurt our bodies. Look up Dave the Raw Food Trucker. He lost 230lbs.

I am looking for a greens superfood powder…is there one that you recommend? It looks like you have some sort of Sunwarrior package in your kitchen.
You need other foods in your diet in order to be completely healthy. Just stuffing yourself with vegetables and fruits isn’t good- you need proteins. Not to mention this diet would be boring as fuck.

@MsSweetPuppy I just bought a Vitamix 5200 today (11/03/2011) at Costcp. The reps were there doing a day long demo(s). Before that I used a cheap $30 Osterizer blender. It just put the harder foods first, one at a time with the softest foods put in last. use about a pint and a half of water and I start the blender first then and the foods so as not to bog the cheap blender down.
I have been on a vegetarian lifestyle in the past, my children along with me. When I took the kids in to the doctor they checked their Iron and it was very low. Do you have any tips for this problem?
